The Electrical Machines Design team is involved in the following areas of research:
Design and production of new axial and radial flux electric machine structures for traction and direct drive wind turbines;
Electromagnetic actuators;
Induction heating systems based on permanent magnet inductors and superconducting coils;
Development of test benches for polyphase induction machines and direct-start magnet synchronous motors;
Fault diagnosis for multiphase synchronous and asynchronous machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
